About

I am currently working on my PhD as a predoctoral researcher at the Heritage Laboratory (LaPa) at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). My research is focused on illustrate the changes perceived from the later stages of Neolithic in the European archaeological record (mainly in funerary record). I start form the assumption that these transformations are related with the appearance of the first individuality features in society. My aim is to elaborate a methodology that combine the archaeological data with the contributions of other disciplines such as Anthropology, Philosophy or History of Thought, in order to infer the technologies of thought and identity production developed by ancient societies. The main focus of this proposal is the body, understood as a key receptacle and medium of expression of the notion of self in each socio-cultural stage.
