A short statement about my research:
My research interest thinks about Cultural Heritage and is focused on two main fields: the shaping of space and social innovation, both considered from Archaeology and Humanities. The first involves Landscape Archaeology (studying the processes of use and social construction of space throughout time), Rural History (including settlement patterns, field-systems and irrigation developments). And the second embraces Public Science and Community Science (applied to Cultural Heritage management and research), Transference of Knowledge in the Humanities (and the development of new business models and innovation processes) and Applied Archaeology (focusing on the development of archaeological methodologies for the sustainable management of Cultural Heritage). I have done research on origins and developments of monumental architecture (field work in Spain, Portugal, UK, Chile, Argentina, Perú and Uruguay) and rock art (field experience and research on Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and Chile). My approach is linked to Interpretive theory, pointing out the conditions of possibility of archaeological and cultural knowledge and defining a systematic methodical framework to base archaeological interpretation. My influences are rooted in structuralism, poststructuralism and postmodern thought.
